CAFAS Software

 
 
   
 

General Information

The CAFAS Computer System software is a tool for maintaining outcome data on clients. Before using the software, anyone who will be rating on the CAFAS should train on the CAFAS and demonstrate satisfactory interrater reliability. Every agency that is mandated by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services to use CAFAS should have received a package containing a CAFAS installation disk and CAFAS Installation Instructions. Please contact Karen Fennell if you have any questions about the above-mentioned package.

The most recent version of the Software is 5.4. Upgrades are available for those running earlier versions.
On or after May 1st of each year, CAFAS users are required to re-licence their CAFAS software.

If your organisation is NOT mandated to use CAFAS by the provincial government and is interested in the use the software please contact the Functional Assessment Scale (FAS) in Michigan.

If CAFAS in Ontario cannot help you solve the technical issue, she will ask you to fill in a Form for Requesting Technical Assistance, required by the FAS in Michigan. She will contact FAS (and forward this form) and ask their Technical Assistance consultants to contact you immediately.  FAS will notify you once they have received your request. If you do not hear from the TA’s within 48 hours, let Cristina know.
