College/University Training

Training on the CAFAS tool is available to Ontario colleges and universities by contacting Karen Fennell. Faculty I programmes related to child and youth mental health may be interested in receiving training in CAFAS to position themselves to incorporate CAFAS in their courses.

CAFAS in Ontario has conducted several training workshops for community college and university faculty across the province of Ontario. The purpose of these training workshops was to provide faculty members teaching in community service programmes with:

Information regarding the measurement initiative in children's mental health and use of CAFAS in the province;

Information on the use of the CAFAS as an assessment tool;

Reliability training in the CAFAS; and

A forum for discussion on teaching the CAFAS at the post-secondary level to community service students planning to enter the children's mental health field.
